What it is
A managed hosting platform for websites, applications and business workloads, operated by the Inframind infrastructure team. Every Inframind client site, every group company, and this website itself runs on it.
Why we built it
We got tired of explaining to clients why the thing we built for them was slow, or down, or unrecoverable — when the actual cause was a hosting provider we had no control over and no line to.
So we stopped outsourcing the part we were being blamed for.
What it does differently
- Someone is watching. Uptime, certificates, disk, backups — monitored, with alerts going to an on-call human rather than an inbox.
- Backups that have been restored. On a schedule, with the report emailed to you. An untested backup is a rumour.
- Free migration. We stage, you test, then we move DNS — at whatever hour hurts your customers least.
- Flat pricing. No overage invoice at the end of a good month.
The honest limit
It is not the cheapest hosting in New Zealand and it is not trying to be. It exists for businesses where an hour of downtime costs more than a year of hosting does.
